Hydraulic and Pneumatic Training Courses

Course Objectives:

The objective of the course is to equip the candidates with a basic all round ability to read and analyse hydraulic and pneumatic circuit diagrams; understand the application and method of operation of the individual hydraulic and pneumatic components and be able to carry out basic hydraulic and pneumatic system design, troubleshooting and maintenance.

  • Understanding of basic hydraulic/pneumatic theories and applying them in practice
  • The importance of good hydraulic filtration techniques
  • The operation of pressure, flow and directional control valves and their applications in hydraulic/pneumatic circuits
  • Hydraulic pumps and motors and the control thereof
  • Hydraulic cylinder construction and good sealing practices
  • Basics of Fluid Power connectors and hose assemblies, good practice techniques and the different threads found in hydraulics/pneumatics
  • The basics of hydraulic circuit applications
  • The different types of hydraulic control systems and the effect on energy usage
  • Maintenance and troubleshooting techniques
